The Headquarters of the Civil Protection of the Republic of Croatia adopted on 8 April 2020 a decision regulating the special mode of operation of the markets during the duration of the declared epidemic of the disease COVID-19. The decision is valid from April 9th and working hours are from 8:00 to 13:00.
It is allowed:
- the operation of closed facilities within the markets (shops and kiosks) at which entrance to the market can be controlled, subject to a strict measure of social distance, and in which the following are allowed for selling:
- food
- hygiene articles
- medicines
- veterinary medicinal products
- the operation of points of sale (benches) on markets (closed premises or enclosures) and which can control the entrance to the market, while maintaining a strict measure of social distance, and which sell:
- fish
- milk and milk products
- fruits and vegetables
- Retail sale of fruit, vegetables and flowers by vehicles in open air enclosures ("green market principle") is permitted.
